National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA):
Students who plan to participate in college athletics in either Division I or II must register with the NCAA. Those who plan to participate in Division III or intramural sports do not need to register.

ACT/SAT
Many colleges and universities will require that students take either the SAT or ACT for admission and/or scholarship purposes. We suggest that students try both, beginning around winter or spring of their junior year, as some students score better on one versus the other. SUSD pays and registers all 11th grade students to take the ACT in the spring semester. Students can also register to take an additional ACT or SAT in the spring of junior year/summer going into Senior year. (NOTE: Registration for an additional ACT or an SAT is not done through Chaparral; please visit act.org or collegeboard.org)
Consider taking a FREE practice length test for the ACT or SAT to determine which test is the best fit for you.
Princeton Review is a valuable website to use for test preparation purposes. Similar resources are available through Scottsdale Education Center, Kaplan, Revolution Prep, or Vogel Prep.
Students can also visit ACT's website for sample test questions. If you look over to the right, you can change the subject area.
