The graduation ceremony begins at 7:00 pm at Salt River Fields. Students will report to the upper deck of the stadium by no later than 6:00 pm. The main entrance will be open at 5:30 pm for parents with tickets. Graduation row assignments will be posted in the main office on May 20th. Students will leave for Project Grad directly from the field. Diplomas will be handed out at the close of the ceremony by the teacher in your row. Diplomas are legal documents and will not be mailed to you!
Graduates who fail to adhere to the dress code will not be permitted to participate in the ceremony. Students are not allowed to write on/decorate their cap.
It is very important that each of you remember the seriousness of the occasion. Graduation is a CEREMONY. Graduating seniors are expected to conduct themselves in a mature manner. Disruptive behavior (any behavior which distracts from the ceremony) will not be tolerated. Violators will be removed from the stadium. Salt River Fields is sanctioned by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Bureau of Indian Affairs.
No one in the audience will be allowed in the graduate seating section at any time that evening.
Photographs of every student receiving their diploma will be taken at graduation by Grads Photography. If you would like to order photos, please go to www.gradsphotography.com to order online. You are under no obligation to buy anything.
There is a clear bag policy for everyone attending. Attendees may also bring in one sealed water bottle per person. Concessions will be open.
Project Grad is an amazing Chaparral tradition for our graduates that is sponsored by CHAPTS. It immediately follows the graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 27th at Octane Raceway from 9:30 pm - 12:30 am. The Class of 2026 will enjoy all-you-can-eat food, coffee bar, racing, casino and arcade games, axe-throwing, fortune tellers, a cash grab machine, a DJ, and raffle prizes galore. More information can be found on CHAPTS.org and we will be hosting a visit from them in April (date TBD) to share more on Project Grad.
If you are not driving yourself to Project Grad, your parents will need to keep your clothes in the car, as you will not be allowed to carry anything except a clear bag with keys and phone into the stadium. Do not forget your close-toed shoes as they are mandatory to participate in Project Grad.
Let the countdown begin! Class of 2027!
Congratulations!
Please adhere to the dress code for graduation: no jeans, t-shirts or flip flops will be permitted. Nice sneakers are acceptable. In addition, Salt River Fields will not allow spiked heels on the field, but wedges and block heels will be allowed. This is a special occasion, and graduates are required to dress accordingly. All graduates must wear the cap and gown ordered through Jostens.
